Traditional Thai Yoga Massage, Taught With Anatomy & Sen-Line Understanding
Nirvana — School of ThaiMassage & Yoga is a place to learn deep relaxation and clinical bodywork through the wisdom of Thai Yoga Massage, Sen lines and mindfulness — based in Gaya, Bihar, near Bodhgaya.
Our Core Philosophy
Why we teach the way we do.
Siddharth Gautam also needed to relax & calm his mind before he could attain enlightenment. To reach a state of peace, serenity and equanimity, you need to be well centred & balanced from inside. Liberation from cravings not only balances your mind, but also frees you from gross emotions. When we release trapped energies from our channels, we have so much surplus energy left — energy that was earlier fuelling our untamed mind is now available across all energy channels to heal us on a physical and emotional level.
Our Mission
What we set out to protect, teach and establish.
- Preserve the traditional art of Thai Massage in its original form.
- Give students a better, deeper understanding of traditional Thai massage.
- Offer courses and training with low risk for wider, well-accepted application of Thai Massage.
- Establish Thai Yoga Massage as an internationally recognised practice that serves both physical and mental health within an academic setting.
- Use clinical and therapeutic understanding of human anatomy to align every routine and technique with body posture, balance and stability.
- Deliver yoga courses with clinical understanding of yogic postures for balance and symmetry — safe enough for people in their 60s to progress without repercussion.
What We Teach
Our practices are built on the ancient art of energy lines — Sen lines or meridians — the same foundation over which Acupressure and Acupuncture are taught.
ThaiYoga Massage
Sen-line and anatomy-based bodywork with assisted stretches and safe, mindful touch.
Tok Sen
Specialised wooden-tool technique for deep, rhythmic release along the energy lines.
Guasha
Traditional scraping technique to support circulation and release surface tension.
'0' Effort Massage
Body-weight and alignment based work that protects the practitioner from strain.
Yoga
Clinical understanding of postures for balance and symmetry, progressive and safe at any age.
Sen Lines & Meridians
Energy pathways at the heart of everything we teach — the foundation of true Thai bodywork.

Criteria for Acceptance
Enrollment is about intention, not just fees.
Gratitude and submission towards the teacher and the knowledge are fundamentals needed before enrollment. It is not an issue of money or grades — your reason for pursuing the course (your Statement of Purpose) decides whether you will be accepted by the teachers.
Courses run from 1 to 4 weeks, and we expect you to attend at least 80% of the lessons during that duration. We also ask you to set aside any previous knowledge until the end, so you can start with a clean slate.
If a student does not comply with these criteria and is sent back, they will not be able to enroll again.
